Linear/Compare /Contrast
Thorne (1993) found a number of differences in the way boys and girls interact with their same-sex friends. Girls engage in more cooperative kinds of play, for example, jumping rope or practicing dance step together, and also tend to say "let's" or"Why don't we...." to generate this play and they would like to spend time with only one or two best friends. When there is conflict among friends, girls talk about the undesirable behavior of playmates behind their backs rather than to their face. On the other hand, boys engage in competitive rough-and-tumble play and physical fighting. Boys also like to appear tough by making verbal threats (for example, "I'm going to punch you"). Boys tend more to hang around with a larger group of casual friends and are more direct and confrontational, so their conflicts are often over quite quickly.
There are many differences in the way teenage boys and girls socialize in school. Girl's acting is less than boy and girl would like taking to girl at a quiet place. In contrast, boys are eager to do more activities, for example, you can see boys chasing each other all around in school always. Girls study more carefully than boys, for example, boys make more mistakes than girls. On the other hand, most boys find out the mistake by their teacher or themselves. However, when the teacher wants someone to answer the question, boys always call out to answer. In contrast, the teacher sometimes would like the correct answer spoken out by girls. As a result, these are difference socialize in the action between boys and girls at school in my country and maybe the foreigner will strange with this, but this really exist in the world.
My class mates Guan-nan and Shen have different majors in college. First of all, Guan-nan is going to study interior design. Before he goes to college, he has intended to choose this major.Furthermore, Guan-nan thinks that interior design has so much useful and interesting knowledge, so he is looking forward to studing this major in colldge. After he gets an Associates-degree, he's going to continue his studies. On the other hand, Shen is going to study business. He not only likes this major but also his parents agree with him to make this decision. Shen likes to get more business knowledge and is determined to study hard in this major when he gets to college. After he gets an Associates-degree, he's going to continue his study

Crowd
We know that a crowd is something happening then people continually gather and are curious about what a big deal. After reading an article entitled "Crowd", I know there are several types of crowds: casual crowds, conventional crowds, and expressive crowds. These crowds belong to collective behavior. They can't be predictable. They occur at any-time, anywhere or happen at a sudden moment you weren't expecting. All of these we can see anywhere, but we just recognize that there occur a big deal so that the people gather together and we never have an recognition for what kind of group there are. Those crowds really can make us feel interested in this article.
First, casual crowds always occur suddenly. For example, when a new store opens, there are so many new products show to customer. The store has food, cosmetics or games to offer customers, in order to disseminate the products in a great way. Therefore, this way can attract lots of people to gather together to form a crowd. This type of group is a casual crowd which is the most common type of crowd we usually see.
A Conventional crowd is a group of people which act customarily. Before a performance begins, we always hear a host say "let's give an applause to welcome our performer". Then the audience will applaud until beginning. This is the conventional crowd. This situation is usually lead by a person who having an action at once in the crowd. Thereby, this kinds of thing influence another people and follow the leader.
Third, an expressive crowd is when members throw themselves into an activity and express their emotions. We will shout or yell and put ourselves into an activity heartily when there is disco, celebration or big music concert. This crowd is called the expressive crowd. In contrast to the casual crowd and convention crowd, the expressive crowd is more emotional and no scruple in a place that people gather together.
In conclusion, no matter whether a is casual, conventional,or expressive, we can learn that it is absolutely a quite powerful group when people together. So we know indirectly why people in crowds sometimes act in a way they would not when they are alone. Can we say it is good for people in society? To a certain extent, each crowd's influence depends on whether lots of people gather to gather or there is a big deal that attracts them. For each crowd, there obviously has to be plenty of people, so we can prove something has an attraction to the crowds and the power of people is stronger than usual. Furthermore, everyone should think about the crowd's origin of power. They not only include a person's bravery, but they contains so much bravery from the people in the crowd. Therefore, don't look down on the power of crowd. It's tremendous strong because unity is strength.
